Our History
1950
Life Care was founded with a focus on Residential Aged Care facilities and retirement villages, meeting the community’s need for secure and supportive environments.
Decades of Evolution
Life Care adapted to the evolving needs and aspirations of ageing Australians.
Introduction of Home Care and Allied Health
Life Care led the way in transitional care by introducing In-Home Care and Allied Health services for older South Australians, allowing us to deliver personalised support directly to our clients.
Shift to Person-Centred Care
This change marked a shift from simply providing accommodation to offering flexible, person-centred services that empower older Australians to live life on their own terms.
1993
Life Care was the first South Australian-based organisation to accept what are now known as Home Care Packages.
2023
Life Care made a strategic decision to transition away from residential services and focus exclusively on In-Home Care and Allied Health for older South Australians, in recognition of the therapeutic value of empowered ageing at home.
2025
Life Care became a Company Limited by Guarantee
